About Me
This is the place to find out about me — Christopher Mee, a UK-based indie author who writes what I love, from wrestling and political thrillers to emotional dramas and sports fiction. I’ve never been one for sticking to a single genre, but all my books share the same heartbeat: bold characters, high stakes, and stories that dig a little deeper.
I’ve always had an active imagination. Growing up with a disability meant I couldn’t always do the things other kids could — not that I’m complaining — but it gave me space to create whole worlds in my head. Writing became my way of exploring them. I think I might have been the only person at university who actually enjoyed coursework, and it was there I first started writing fiction (though that early project never saw the light of day).
In 2015, I launched CMBoxing, my boxing news and opinion site, and began writing boxing blogs on a weekly basis. Over the years, CMBoxing has become a platform where I share fight previews, post-fight analysis, and opinion pieces on the sport I’ve followed for most of my life. You can still find my latest boxing blogs at CMBoxing.co.uk.
For me, writing — whether it’s fiction or blogging — is pure escapism. As someone who lives with mental health challenges, it’s a way of switching off everything else and focusing completely on the story or subject in front of me. It’s where I feel most like myself, and it’s why I’ll keep telling stories for as long as I can.
