Let’s Take a Sneak Peek Into What’s Coming Soon

I’ve always got more stories on the way—but these are the ones I’m actively working on right now. Some are nearly finished, with possible publishing dates in sight, while others are still very much in the idea phase. From spy thrillers and political dramas to sports fiction and heartfelt stories, this page gives you a glimpse into the projects taking shape. It’ll change often as ideas move from first draft to finished book, so check back any time you’re curious about what’s coming soon from CMeewrites.

Book cover for Across the Brief by Christopher Mee. A silhouette of a woman in New York and a man in London texting across the page, with the message ‘Hey – just thought I’d say hi.’ Featured on the Coming Soon page for upcoming releases.

What if a single message could change everything?

Megan Porter lives by routine. A corporate lawyer in New York, she’s built her life around precision, control, and never letting anyone close.

Tom Bennett is a criminal barrister in London — wry, grounded, and quietly guarded in his own way.

They’ve never met. But when a Facebook suggestion leads to a message, a quiet connection begins to form — not instant, but real. Through messages, late-night calls, and moments of unexpected intimacy, two strangers on opposite sides of the ocean begin to find something they didn’t know they needed.

Across the Brief is a contemporary love story about distance, identity, and what it means to be seen.

Honest, warm, and deeply human.

Coming December 2025
Book cover for Love on Wheels by Christopher Mee. A golden silhouette of a man in a wheelchair and a woman leaning toward him, with the tagline ‘Love is the hardest fight of all.’ Featured on the Coming Soon page.

James Turner has given up on life. Living with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, his days are marked by silence, routine, and the quiet ache of fading purpose. Then Sarah arrives — a new carer whose warmth, humour, and stubborn refusal to give up on him begin to chip away at the walls he’s built around himself.

As their connection deepens, James is forced to confront the past he has tried to bury and the future he no longer believes he deserves. For Sarah, caring for James becomes more than just a job — it’s a test of her own resilience, patience, and the meaning of love when it asks everything of you.

Set between the small-town rhythms of Tamworth and the wide horizons of new beginnings, Love on Wheels is a tender, unflinching story about vulnerability, hope, and the courage to let someone in.

Honest, raw, and deeply human, it’s about finding light when all seems lost — and discovering that love can be the greatest fight of all.

Coming February/March 2026.

Book One — The Prime Minister’s Daughter • Core Arc: Luke Carter, elite GPD officer, protects Lizzie Wetherby through two assassination attempts. He’s severely injured in the second, and the trauma/fear binds them together, leading to a relationship. • Ending: They finally admit their feelings. Luke’s relationship with Lizzie costs him his career in the GPD. • Backdrop: Hints that the assassination attempts were more coordinated than they appear. Small breadcrumbs of a larger conspiracy. ⸻ Book Two — Collateral Damage (working title) • Premise: Luke is medically retired from the GPD and drifting, but Lizzie (still under threat) persuades him to act as her shadow outside official channels. A second, even more ruthless attempt on her life forces them both into the open. • Backdrop: Political tension rises — a scandal inside Whitehall suggests the threat may come from within. • Key Development: Luke is more badly injured but adapts his tactics, fighting as much with cunning and protective strategy as brute strength. • Ending: The conspiracy begins to be sketched more clearly — not just rogue actors, but an international network targeting the PM’s office. Luke and Lizzie are together but strained by constant danger. ⸻ Book Three — Enemies Within • Premise: With the threat still unresolved, Lizzie is sent abroad under diplomatic cover. Luke, unofficially by her side, faces foreign intelligence agencies, hostile operatives, and betrayal from within her own protection team. • Backdrop: The Prime Minister’s government begins to fracture under public pressure. Allegations of corruption weaken him. • Key Development: Luke and Lizzie’s relationship grows stronger but also darker — trust is tested as Luke’s paranoia increases. • Ending: A shocking betrayal by a British official, revealing that the conspiracy has allies in the highest levels of government. ⸻ Book Four — State of Treason • Premise: The conspiracy moves closer to its true aim: destabilising Britain through assassination, blackmail, and foreign manipulation. Luke and Lizzie are now openly together, but their relationship makes them political targets. • Backdrop: The Prime Minister faces a vote of no confidence. The opposition is either complicit in or being manipulated by the same network. • Key Development: Luke, hunted and discredited, goes rogue — no longer part of any official protection structure. • Ending: The network achieves a major win: either the PM is ousted or killed. Lizzie is left politically and emotionally shattered. Luke is her only shield. ⸻ Book Five — For Queen and Country (possible finale or midpoint climax) • Premise: With the Prime Minister gone, the conspiracy tightens its grip. Luke and Lizzie must operate off-grid, hunted by both the network and the state. • Backdrop: Britain slides into political chaos — mass protests, terror attacks, and whispers of a coup. • Key Development: Luke uncovers the network’s true face — an international cabal of intelligence, corporate, and political figures orchestrating events for profit and power. • Climax: Luke leads a desperate, last-man-standing style mission to cripple the conspiracy’s London operation. • Ending: Victory comes at a price. Luke barely survives. Lizzie is left to choose between her future in politics (as heir to her father’s legacy) or her future with Luke. ⸻ Big Picture Threads • The Conspiracy: Starts as isolated assassination attempts → evolves into a network manipulating British politics → revealed as part of an international shadow cabal. • Political Fallout: The PM goes from embattled → betrayed → toppled/assassinated → Britain in crisis. • Luke’s Arc: From professional protector → injured/disavowed → paranoid rogue operator → hunted man → final reckoning. • Lizzie’s Arc: From protected daughter → target and political pawn → independent operator → leader in her own right, forced to step into her father’s shadow. • Romance: Slow-burn, believable. From forbidden attraction → fragile relationship under fire → strained by paranoia and betrayal → unbreakable partnership forged in crisis.

When the Prime Minister’s daughter, Lizzie Wetherby, is caught in the crosshairs of a ruthless conspiracy, her life changes in an instant. Assigned to protect her is Luke Carter — a seasoned bodyguard scarred by his past and willing to risk everything to keep her safe.

But survival has a price. After a shocking public attack leaves Luke badly wounded, the threats only escalate. Each step towards safety pulls Lizzie and her protector closer together, until the line between duty and desire begins to blur. And when a second attempt shatters the illusion of security, both of their lives — and futures — are thrown into jeopardy.

Tense, emotional, and unflinching, The Prime Minister’s Daughter is the explosive opening to a new political thriller series where power, loyalty, and love collide. The first attempt on Lizzie’s life may have failed, but the conspiracy has only just begun.

Coming 2026

“Book cover for This Time Around by Christopher Mee. A silhouette of a man in a wheelchair playing an acoustic guitar is set against a warm, orange-lit stage, creating a reflective and emotional atmosphere.”

Ben once had everything he ever wanted — a band on the rise, songs on the radio, a future mapped out in music. Then the crash took it all. His friends. His career. His certainty about who he was.

Fifteen years later, he’s still playing. Not arenas this time, but half-empty pubs where no one remembers his name. Music is the only voice he trusts, the only way he can carry what he lost.

Then someone new walks into his life — someone who doesn’t see the broken pieces or the fallen star, but the man still fighting to be heard.

This Time Around is a novel about loss and reluctant hope, about music as survival, and the quiet courage it takes to try again.

Coming Soon — some stories take time.

Jack Malone thought he was protecting more than a President. Years earlier, they had fought together on the same mission, brothers-in-arms forged in fire. When that comrade rose to the Oval Office, Jack felt honoured to join the Secret Service detail guarding both a leader and a friend.

But the man in the White House isn’t the man Jack remembers. Intelligence is bent to fit a script, enemies appear too convenient, and every decision feels rehearsed. At Camp David, Jack confronts him — and the confrontation turns violent. The President attacks Jack, then tells the world it was Jack who struck first.

Branded a traitor and cut off from the institution he served, Jack has nowhere left to turn. Now there is only one man who might stand with him: Nathan Grey, a former MI6 officer who shared the same battlefield in their past and now works off-grid, contracting in the shadows between British and American intelligence. Together, they must expose how the President of the United States became the centrepiece of a conspiracy built on lies.

Coming soon — when loyalty becomes treason, who do you trust?

Book cover for “Fit to Serve” by Christopher Mee. The silhouette of a man in a wheelchair faces an Army recruitment building under cloudy skies, with the tagline “One man’s fight to wear the uniform.”

Jake Mercer has only ever wanted one thing: to serve his country in uniform. For most people, it’s a dream achieved by grit, training, and endurance. For Jake, it’s a battle just to be given the chance. Born with cerebral palsy and a wheelchair user, he’s barred from even attempting the Army’s entry tests. The system sees his chair before it sees the man.

But Jake refuses to accept a future defined by rejection. In a world of regulations, tribunals, and public scrutiny, he sets out to prove that strength is more than physical, and that loyalty, resolve, and sacrifice matter just as much as muscle. Every step forward is hard won. Every setback cuts deep. And every moment is a test — not just of his body, but of his will to keep fighting when no one expects him to succeed.

Fit to Serve is the gripping first book in a powerful new series about determination, sacrifice, and the cost of breaking barriers.

Coming soon… the fight begins.

Book cover for “For the Country” by Christopher Mee. A man in a wheelchair faces the iconic Number 10 Downing Street door, with the Union Jack faintly overlaid in the background, symbolising political power and struggle.

One year into his historic premiership, the youngest Prime Minister in British history faces a crisis unlike any before. A devastating cyberattack cripples the NHS, throwing hospitals into chaos and putting lives at risk. As panic spreads and political rivals circle, the Prime Minister must navigate a labyrinth of power struggles, betrayals, and impossible choices — all while carrying the weight of his own vulnerability in a world that sees weakness as opportunity.

Every decision he makes could save lives — or cost him everything.

For the Country launches a gripping new political thriller series where loyalty is tested, enemies wear familiar faces, and the fate of a nation rests on one man’s resolve.

The fight for Britain’s future begins here.

Book cover for “Disavowed,” Book One of The Vale Protocols by Christopher Mee. A lone man in a dark coat walks down a shadowy, rain-soaked street, with a large red MI6 “Disavowed” stamp looming above, symbolising betrayal and espionage.

Thomas Vale was once one of MI6’s most reliable field operatives—until a mission went wrong, allies died, and London burned his name from the record. Disavowed. Forgotten. Left to survive in the shadows.

But when fragments of a hidden conspiracy surface across Europe, Vale realises the past he’s running from is the only thing that can stop what’s coming. Hunted by the very agency that trained him and pursued by enemies who should already be dead, he’s forced into a brutal game of betrayal where trust is a weapon and survival is never guaranteed.

Disavowed is the first explosive entry in The Vale Protocols, a new spy thriller series where loyalty is fragile, the rules are broken, and the price of failure is measured in lives.

The conspiracy begins soon. Will you be ready?

Book cover for “The Fifth Circle,” Book One by Christopher Mee. A silhouetted man in a suit stands against a blood-red background with a cracked circular crosshair symbol above him, evoking conspiracy, danger, and a tense political thriller atmosphere.

They strike without warning. They answer to no state. They call themselves The Fifth Circle.

When a wave of coordinated attacks shatters the illusion of security across Europe, governments scramble to respond. But in the chaos, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary terrorist cell. Ruthless, highly trained, and guided by an ideology that defies reason, The Fifth Circle is unlike any threat the world has faced before.

As intelligence agencies clash and political leaders falter, one question remains: who will stand against an enemy that thrives in the shadows?

The war begins here. Book One of a gripping new thriller series. Coming soon.

These are just a selection of the books and projects I’m working on — some close to the finish line, others still in their earliest stages. Over the coming weeks, months, and yes, possibly even years, this page will continue to grow and change as new stories take shape. Don’t worry — I’ve still got a folder on my computer filled with notes and story ideas, but if I tried to put all of them on here, I’d never get a book written. Make sure to check back often for updates, or follow along on social media for sneak peeks, progress updates, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at the writing process.
